Burundian first lady arrives in Abuja for general assembly

The First Lady of Burundi, Angeline Ndayishimiye, has arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja ahead of the 10th General Assembly of the African First Ladies Peace Mission. The news was announced by Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari, on her Instagram page on Sunday. She shared photos of the arrival and captioned them, “The First Lady of Burundi, Her Excellency Madame Angeline Ndayishimiye, being received at the Presidential Wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja by my representatives ahead of the 10th General Assembly of the African First Ladies Peace Mission and Commissioning of the Mission Secretariat. She is the Vice President of the Mission.”

The arrival of the First Lady of Burundi is significant as she is expected to play a vital role in the upcoming General Assembly of the African First Ladies Peace Mission. As the Vice President of the Mission, she will be a part of the discussions that will focus on promoting peace, security, and development in Africa.

The African First Ladies Peace Mission was established in 1995 and has been working tirelessly to promote peace and development in Africa. The upcoming 10th General Assembly of the Mission will provide an opportunity for the First Ladies to discuss ways to strengthen the Mission’s efforts towards achieving its objectives.

The Mission’s Secretariat will also be commissioned during the General Assembly, and this is expected to boost the Mission’s activities and enhance its effectiveness.

The arrival of the First Lady of Burundi is a significant boost to the General Assembly’s preparations, and it is hoped that her presence will help to achieve the Mission’s goals. The General Assembly is expected to be attended by several African First Ladies, who will all play a crucial role in promoting peace, security, and development on the African continent.
