A joint orientation workshop was held for the Committee on Audit and Public Accounts (CAPA) and the Committee on Monetary and Financial Affairs to familiarize members with the African Union (AU) and Pan-African Parliament’s operational guidelines. The workshop was part of preparations for the upcoming Sitting of Permanent Committees next week.
Members received briefings on the revised AU Staff Regulations, the AU Internal Justice System, and the AU Financial Rules and Regulations. The sessions aimed to provide a clear understanding of financial and administrative procedures within the AU.
Preparatory meetings are ongoing at the Pan-African Parliament’s headquarters in Midrand, South Africa, as officials get ready for the official opening of the Sitting of Permanent Committees on 24 February 2025.
