Ibadan, Nigeria – French Ambassador to Nigeria, Marc Fonbaustier, led a team from the French Embassy on a condolence visit to Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, yesterday. The visit took place ahead of the launch of the Women in Agricultural Technical Education and Apprenticeship in Nigeria (WATEA) program, which will offer training to students from OYSCATECH and LAUTECH.
The delegation also discussed several ongoing projects, including the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), aimed at rehabilitating 68 km of rural roads in the first phase. They reviewed plans for a Rungis-style market at the Akufo Farm Settlement and partnerships supporting primary healthcare programs, as well as energy and electrification initiatives.
