State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mesganu Arga, met with Asein Isaev, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, to discuss ways to enhance collaboration between the two nations.
During the meeting, Ambassador Mesganu expressed Ethiopia’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new areas of cooperation. He encouraged the Kyrgyz Republic to consider opening an embassy in Ethiopia to deepen diplomatic engagement.
Deputy Minister Isaev delivered a message from Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to Ethiopia’s President Taye Atske-Selassie and presented draft Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at fostering partnerships across various sectors.
Both officials agreed to collaborate on multilateral platforms under the framework of South-South cooperation.
