Kigali, Rwanda – Minister Vincent Biruta received copies of the Letters of Credence of Mr. Naeem Ullah Khan, High Commissioner-designate of Pakistan to Rwanda on August 16, 2023.
Minister Biruta expressed his best wishes to Mr. Khan and reiterated Rwanda’s availability to work with Pakistan to strengthen bilateral relations.
Rwanda and Pakistan established diplomatic ties in July 1962. Rwanda is represented in Pakistan by its Embassy in Beijing, China, while Pakistan has had a resident High Commission in Kigali since March 2021.
The two countries cooperate in various areas, including trade and investment, defense, and health.
Mr. Khan is a career diplomat with over 30 years of experience in the Pakistani Foreign Service. He has served in various positions, including as Ambassador to China and as Ambassador to the United States.
He is a graduate of the University of Karachi and holds a Master’s degree in International Relations.
