King Mswati III welcomed the new representatives of Saudi Arabia and Canada to Eswatini today at Lozitha Palace. His Majesty received letters of credence from H.E. Faisal bin Falah Al-Harbi, the designate Ambassador of Saudi Arabia, and H.E. Sara Nicholls, the incoming High Commissioner of Canada.
During the ceremony, the King urged both diplomats to strengthen the existing ties between their respective nations and Eswatini, encouraging further collaboration in various sectors.

H.E. Faisal bin Falah Al-Harbi expressed Saudi Arabia’s appreciation for the growing partnership with Eswatini. “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia deeply values the friendly relations and growing cooperation with the Kingdom of Eswatini,” he said, emphasizing the positive trajectory of bilateral relations. He also recalled the successful visit of Eswatini’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Pholile Shakantu, to Saudi Arabia last December, which led to the opening of an embassy in Riyadh and the signing of a General Cooperation Agreement. This agreement aims to enhance collaboration in trade, education, tourism, and cultural exchange.
On her part, H.E. Sara Nicholls reflected on the longstanding relationship between Canada and Eswatini, which dates back to 1968. She reiterated Canada’s commitment to deepening cooperation, particularly in key areas such as information technology, clean technology, and vocational training. Canada’s support aligns with Eswatini’s National Digitization Strategy, offering significant opportunities for Canadian companies to contribute to e-government, cybersecurity, and Fintech developments, paving the way for a digitally inclusive future.
