Ambassador Ntsiuoa Sekete, Lesotho’s Permanent Representative to the African Union Commission (AUC), has paid a courtesy visit to Ambassador Selma Malika Haddadi, the newly appointed Deputy Chairperson of the Commission.
The meeting, which took place following Haddadi’s assumption of office after the February 2025 AU Summit and Commission elections, focused on strengthening collaboration and advancing the goals of Agenda 2063—Africa’s strategic framework for inclusive growth and sustainable development.
Ambassador Sekete conveyed Lesotho’s readiness to work closely with the Deputy Chair and the Commission, assuring her of the kingdom’s full backing as she embarks on her new leadership responsibilities. She also extended her best wishes, acknowledging the challenges and promise that come with the role.
