Lesotho has been granted a food aid donation worth RMB 10 million (approximately M25 million Maloti) from the People’s Republic of China. The donation, which includes rice, parboiled rice, and wheat, was formalized with the signing of Handing-over Certificates by Lesotho’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lejone Mpotjoana, and China’s Ambassador to Lesotho, His Excellency Mr. Yang Xiaokun.
Minister Mpotjoana thanked the People’s Republic of China on behalf of the Lesotho government, highlighting the positive impact the donation would have in alleviating hardships faced by the most vulnerable communities in the country.
