The 97th Academy Awards recognized the best in film on Sunday night, with director Sean Baker’s Anora taking home five Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Actress for Mikey Madison.

Hosted by Conan O’Brien, the ceremony wrapped up an awards season affected by the January wildfires in Los Angeles. The disaster led to changes in nomination deadlines and the cancellation of the annual nominees’ luncheon. The event opened with a tribute to the city, followed by a performance from Wicked stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo.

Going into the night, Emilia Pérez, a Netflix musical-crime drama, led with 13 nominations. Wicked and The Brutalist followed with 10 each. The Brutalist won three awards, including Best Actor for Adrien Brody, while Wicked earned two for Best Production Design and Best Costume Design.
