Durban, South Africa – The KwaZulu-Natal Tourism & Film Authority has awarded bursaries to 33 students pursuing film studies at AFDA, the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), and the Durban University of Technology (DUT).
The bursaries, issued under the Industry Skills Development (ISD) Film Bursary program for 2025, were officially signed, marking a significant investment in the province’s creative sector.
KwaZulu-Natal’s film industry has been gaining momentum, and the initiative aims to equip young talent with the skills needed to contribute to both local and international storytelling. The recipients will receive financial support for their education, helping to develop the next generation of filmmakers, directors, and industry professionals.
