The EU-Funded Support to Democratic Governance in Nigeria (EU-SDGN) Programme recently hosted a five-day retreat with its 16 implementing partners to strengthen Nigeria’s democratic governance. The retreat brought together key institutions, civil society organizations, and media representatives to discuss improving electoral processes, increasing civic engagement, and promoting accountability.
Partners engaged in discussions on the programme’s impact, civic engagement, and lessons learned. They also reviewed strategies aimed at fostering transparency, political inclusion, and institutional reforms. The retreat offered an opportunity for participants to share insights and work on forward-thinking approaches to ensure the continued progress of democracy in Nigeria.
