During the ceremony in Libreville on February 24, President Nguema acknowledged Gabon’s longstanding diplomatic ties with Zambia and expressed optimism about strengthening cooperation in key sectors such as energy, agriculture, mining, and tourism. The Gabonese leader recalled Zambia’s victory in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations final held in Gabon, highlighting the support shown by Gabonese citizens for the Zambian team. He invited the ambassador to visit the Nkok Special Investment Zone, describing it as an opportunity for Zambian investors to explore business partnerships.

Kosita conveyed greetings from Zambia’s President Hakainde Hichilema and congratulated President Nguema on his leadership during Gabon’s transitional period ahead of elections set for April 12, 2025. He reiterated Zambia’s intention to boost bilateral trade and investment in line with its economic diplomacy agenda.
