Botswana’s President, His Excellency Advocate Duma Gideon Boko, inaugurated the event, which focuses on sustainable energy solutions and energy security for the SADC region. The theme for this year’s conference, “Accelerating Sustainable Energy Solutions for an Energy Secure SADC Region,” provides a platform for industry experts and government officials to discuss strategies, share knowledge, and build partnerships aimed at addressing the region’s energy challenges.

Among the key speakers at the event are Mr. Elias M. Magosi, SADC Executive Secretary, and Hon. Bogolo Joy Kenewendo, Botswana’s Minister of Minerals & Energy, alongside Mr. Kudakwashe Ndhlukula, Executive Director of SACREEE. Their participation underscores the importance of collaboration in tackling energy issues affecting Southern Africa.

Eswatini is represented by Principal Secretary Lindiwe Mbingo, Director for Energy Ms. Thabile Nkosi, and ESERA CEO Mr. Sikhumbuzo Tsabedze, along with other senior government officials.
