Prime Minister Ntsokoane Matekane officially launched Lesotho’s University Innovation Pod (UniPod) on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Lerotholi Polytechnic. The institution will host the initiative, which is part of a broader network in 15 African countries.
UniPod is designed to position universities as centers of innovation, research, and skill development. It aims to equip students and researchers with practical knowledge and technology infrastructure suited for the modern digital economy.
The event was attended by key government officials, including the Minister of Education and Training and the Minister of Information, Communications, Science, Technology, and Innovation, along with other dignitaries.
