King Mswati III has outlined four key components that are essential for shaping future governments. These include cross-learning among nations, promoting digital inclusivity and innovation, advancing sustainable development, and strengthening global partnerships.
Speaking at the World Governments Summit in Dubai, UAE, the King stated that these factors are critical for addressing the complex challenges of the 21st century and ensuring a prosperous and equitable future for all. He also emphasized the importance of inclusive decision-making, transparency, and citizen engagement in government processes. Citing Eswatini’s Sibaya model, the King highlighted how open dialogue between the public and government can lead to innovative and lasting policy solutions.
“The decisions we make as governments today will define the future of our nations and the well-being of our people for generations,” said King Mswati III. He also noted that today’s interconnected world offers a unique opportunity for increased global collaboration.
King Mswati III reaffirmed Eswatini’s commitment to an innovation-driven development model, focusing on science and technology to drive economic and social progress. He called for boldness, collaboration, and a shared commitment to creating a more inclusive and technologically advanced world.
Meanwhile, Eswatini’s Minister of Information, Communication, and Technology, Savannah Maziya, shared that the country’s digital transformation would be completed within two years.
