Ambassador Bennemann reaffirmed Germany’s commitment to supporting SADC’s regional integration and development efforts. She also welcomed the 2025 Negotiations, to be hosted by the SADC region, as an opportunity to deepen cooperation between SADC and Germany.
H.E. Mr. Magosi congratulated Ambassador Bennemann on her appointment and expressed gratitude for Germany’s ongoing support, particularly the €36.4 million pledged during the SADC-German Bilateral Negotiations in December 2023 in Berlin. This funding is aimed at advancing regional integration and other key initiatives.
Both sides reiterated their commitment to collaborating on various initiatives, building on the Framework Agreement signed in November 2023. This agreement focuses on fostering economic integration, poverty alleviation, and sustainable development across the region.
