Two Brazilian drug traffickers were arrested at OR Tambo International Airport in Gauteng on Sunday after arriving from São Paulo, Brazil.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) reported that one of the suspects, aged 30, was found with over 4 kilograms of cocaine in his luggage. The second suspect, aged 35, was discovered to have swallowed cocaine-filled capsules, confirmed through a medical x-ray. A total of 15 drug “bullets” containing cocaine were recovered from the second trafficker.
Both suspects are expected to face charges related to drug trafficking at the Kempton Park Magistrates’ Court this week.
