As part of a broader effort to modernize visa systems globally, South African missions in Nigeria have implemented measures to make visa applications more efficient. Applicants are no longer required to submit their original passports at the initial stage of the application process. Instead, certified copies of the passport’s biopage must be provided, with the original passport presented later for verification and finalization.
These changes are part of the government’s visa reform program aimed at facilitating travel for economic and tourism purposes while ensuring the system’s security remains intact.
