Ghana and Seychelles have taken significant steps to bolster their diplomatic and economic ties during a recent visit by Seychelles’ President, H.E. Wavel Ramkalawan. The visit, which began on November 21, 2024, saw the signing of four important agreements aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two nations.
On November 25, 2024, a Bilateral Air Service Agreement (BASA) and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in STEM, research, training, and skills development were signed. Ghana’s Chief Directors of the Ministries of Transport and Education, Mrs. Mabel Sagoe and Mrs. Mamle D. Andrews, signed the agreements on behalf of the Ghanaian government.
Representing the government of Seychelles, H.E. Conrad Mederic, Seychelles’ Ambassador to Ethiopia and the African Union, signed both agreements.
The two countries also signed an MoU on culture and tourism development on November 21.
