Washington, Nov 8 – U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken urged United Arab Emirates Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan to help halt the fighting in Sudan and back efforts to establish a civilian government, according to a U.S. State Department statement on Friday.
Blinken also raised the urgent need to expand humanitarian access within Sudan, where conflict has fueled a severe humanitarian crisis. He thanked the UAE for its recent aid to Gaza and Lebanon, recognizing its role in supporting stability across the region.
