CAPE TOWN, South Africa – Prince William has shared an update on his wife, Kate Middleton, revealing that she is recovering well after undergoing preventative chemotherapy treatment.

The Prince, currently in South Africa for the annual Earthshot Prize awards ceremony, praised Kate’s strength and resilience during this challenging period. “She’s doing really well, thanks,” he told the BBC. “She’s been amazing this whole year.”

While Kate is unable to attend the awards ceremony, she will be supporting her husband and family from their home in Britain. William added that their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, are also eager to see the event’s success and are committed to environmental causes.

“We go through all the basics of recycling, minimizing water usage, and turning off lights,” William shared about their family’s efforts.

The Earthshot Prize, a prestigious global award established by Prince William in 2020, aims to recognize and reward innovative solutions to environmental challenges. Inspired by President John F. Kennedy’s “moonshot” project, the prize offers £1 million to five winners each year.
