US Embassy Joins Suriname’s Pride Walk

Paramaribo, Suriname – The U.S. Embassy in Paramaribo proudly participated in Suriname’s Pride Walk on Saturday, October 26th. Embassy staff and their families joined the vibrant celebration, marching through the streets of Paramaribo to show their support for the LGBTQ+ community.

The colorful parade, which began and ended at Zus & Zo, wound its way through the city’s historic district, drawing attention to the importance of LGBTQ+ rights and equality.

The U.S. Embassy encourages everyone to celebrate love, diversity, and inclusivity. By sharing stories and participating in events like the Pride Walk, individuals can contribute to a more accepting and equitable society.
