Windhoek, Namibia – Namibia joined Indonesia in celebrating its 79th Independence Day on October 2, 2024.
The Indonesian Ambassador to Namibia, H.E. Wisnu Edi Pratignyo, hosted a reception to mark the occasion, which was attended by government officials, diplomats, and members of the Indonesian community.
Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Hon. Jenelly Matundu, extended warm congratulations to Indonesia on this significant milestone. In her remarks, she praised the strong bilateral relations between the two countries and reaffirmed Namibia’s commitment to strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The reception featured a vibrant cultural display, with Indonesian dances and music performed by members of the Indonesian community and young Namibians from the OYO group.
