Manzini, Eswatini – The U.S. Embassy in Eswatini has announced the selection of 20 exceptional young women for the 2024 Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) program. Over the next six months, these aspiring leaders will receive intensive training and mentorship to develop their entrepreneurial skills and turn their business ideas into reality.
Speaking at the launch event at the Manzini American Corner, Acting Deputy Chief of Mission Jolanta Mikiewicz emphasized the significance of the program beyond skill development. “This initiative is about fostering a community of resilient, determined women who can support and inspire each other,” she said. “By sharing their knowledge and collaborating, they can overcome challenges and create sustainable businesses.”
The AWE program is designed to empower women entrepreneurs through a comprehensive curriculum that covers various aspects of business management, including financial planning, marketing, and leadership. Participants will also have access to a network of experienced mentors and fellow entrepreneurs who can provide guidance and support.
