Juba, South Sudan – South Sudan is looking to deepen its relationship with the Arab League, according to a meeting between the country’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Monday Semaya Kumba, and the Head of the League of Arab States Mission, Ambassador Mohieldin Salim Ahmed.
The meeting, held in Juba on Tuesday, focused on exploring avenues for enhanced cooperation between the two entities. Deputy Minister Kumba expressed enthusiasm for strengthening the existing ties between South Sudan and the Arab League.
He assured Ambassador Ahmed of the government’s full support in facilitating his work in the country and highlighted the potential for capacity-building initiatives.
In response, Ambassador Ahmed expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and reaffirmed the Arab League’s commitment to fostering stronger relations with South Sudan across various sectors.
