Kigali, Rwanda – Rwanda and the Kingdom of Eswatini have deepened their bilateral relations with the signing of four cooperation agreements in defense, security, police cooperation, and visa exemption for diplomatic and service passport holders.

The agreements were signed on Tuesday, August 13, in the presence of Rwandan President Paul Kagame and King Mswati III of Eswatini, who is currently on a state visit. The two leaders met at Village Urugwiro to discuss ways to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

President Kagame expressed gratitude for King Mswati III’s visit, highlighting its significance in cementing the strong ties between the two nations. He emphasized Rwanda’s willingness to share its development experiences with Eswatini through the Rwanda Cooperation Initiative.

King Mswati III commended Rwanda’s socioeconomic progress and expressed his country’s interest in learning from Rwanda’s development model. He also extended an invitation to President Kagame to visit Eswatini.
