KYIV, Aug 4 – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba embarks on a diplomatic mission to Africa this week to rally support for Ukraine in its conflict with Russia, the ministry announced on Sunday.
Kuleba will visit Malawi, Zambia, and Mauritius from August 4 to 8, marking his fourth African tour in two years. The trip aims to bolster bilateral relations and discuss African involvement in global efforts to secure a just peace for Ukraine.
The ministry emphasized the importance of mutual respect and shared interests in these meetings. The discussions will also focus on the supply of Ukrainian grain to Africa and the participation of African companies in Ukraine’s reconstruction.
Despite attending a Ukraine conference in Switzerland in June, many African countries have hesitated to join Western moves to isolate Russia, a key supplier of energy and commodities.
