Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame has garnered widespread congratulations from African counterparts following his overwhelming victory in the recent national election.

Kagame secured over 99 percent of the vote, as reported by the National Electoral Commission, reaffirming his mandate for a fourth term. Among the first to extend their congratulations were Presidents William Ruto of Kenya, Samia Suluhu Hassan of Tanzania, Filipe Nyusi of Mozambique, and Umaro Sissoco Embaló of Guinea Bissau.

President Ruto conveyed Kenya’s warmest regards, celebrating Rwanda’s democratic choice and expressing optimism for continued cooperation in regional and pan-African affairs.
