Sheikh Mohammed Praises Emirates Airline’s Achievements

DUBAI, 19th June, 2024 (WAM) -- His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, met with senior officials of Emirates Airline and Group at the Union House in Dubai.

DUBAI, 19th June, 2024 — His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, praised Emirates Airline for its record-breaking performance and outlined future initiatives during a meeting with senior officials at Union House in Dubai.

Joined by H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance, and H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the airline’s key role in strengthening Dubai’s status as a global business hub and premier destination for investment and tourism.

Sheikh Mohammed underscored Emirates’ contributions to the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, aiming to double the emirate’s foreign trade volume by 2033. The airline’s expansion and robust performance in recent years were cited as pivotal to achieving these goals.

During the meeting, Sheikh Ahmed briefed Sheikh Mohammed on Emirates’ strategic plans, including fleet expansion, aircraft upgrades, and advancements in hospitality, cargo, and ground handling. Plans to leverage advanced technologies, enhance employee training, and promote sustainability were also discussed.

Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, highlighted the Group’s recent accomplishments, noting record profits and revenues driven by global operational expansion and high customer demand for Emirates’ services. He attributed these successes to the visionary policies of Sheikh Mohammed and the Dubai Government.

Expressing confidence in Emirates’ future, Sheikh Mohammed praised the airline’s ability to set new quality benchmarks in the aviation sector. He emphasized efforts to boost technical capabilities and workforce efficiency, reinforcing Emirates’ competitiveness on the global stage.

The meeting concluded with a commemorative photo, where Sheikh Mohammed extended his best wishes to the Emirates officials for their continued success in achieving excellence.
