Minsk, Belarus – Eswatini’s Prime Minister, Russell Mmiso Dlamini, touched down in Minsk, Belarus yesterday evening for a working visit. This trip marks a significant step towards establishing diplomatic relations between the two nations.
Prime Minister Dlamini was warmly greeted upon arrival at Minsk National Airport by senior Belarusian officials, including Mr. Sergei Lukashevich, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Dmitry Mironchick, the Director General for Asia, Africa, and Latin America at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Eswatini’s Ambassador to Belgium and the European Communities, H.E. Sibusisiwe Mngomezulu, was also present to welcome the delegation.
Joining Prime Minister Dlamini on this official visit are HRH Princess Lindiwe, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the Honourable Mandla Tshawuka, the Minister of Agriculture. The delegation is scheduled to meet with Belarus’ Prime Minister, Roman Golovchenko, within the next few hours. Discussions are expected to focus on establishing a framework for cooperation that will benefit both Eswatini and Belarus.
