The UAE has reinforced its commitment to global peace by participating in the Oslo Forum, held on June 12, 2024. Noura Al Kaabi, UAE Minister of State, joined a panel discussion organized by Norway’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue. The forum focused on sharing knowledge, exchanging experiences, and developing strategies for conflict resolution and peacemaking.
During the panel, Al Kaabi highlighted the UAE’s dedication to multilateral cooperation, dialogue, and building bridges. She emphasized the nation’s preference for diplomacy over conflict, partnership over unilateralism, and dialogue over confrontation. Al Kaabi stressed the importance of respecting principles of good neighborliness and non-interference in internal affairs while enhancing existing alliances and foreign relations to support international stability and peace.
Al Kaabi pointed out that significant changes in the international landscape require increased communication, integration, and cooperation across various fields such as politics, economy, technology, health, food, and climate change. She emphasized resolving conflicts through dialogue and peaceful means to contribute to global stability and coexistence.
She also urged prioritizing economic prosperity, strengthening international relations, and focusing on de-escalation efforts regionally and internationally.
