Algerian Ambassador Abdelkrimi Diaf paid a courtesy visit to Namibian Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Peya Mushelenga on May 23rd, 2024. The visit focused on charting a path to solidify diplomatic ties between the two African nations.

The discussions between Ambassador Diaf and Minister Mushelenga centered on developing a roadmap to bolster Namibia and Algeria’s bilateral relations. This strategic framework aims to enhance cooperation across various sectors.

Furthermore, Ambassador Diaf extended an invitation to Dr. Mushelenga, on behalf of his Algerian counterpart, Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf. The invitation pertains to the 11th Ministerial Level meeting of the African Union Committee of Ten (C-10) scheduled for Algiers, Algeria, on June 10th, 2024. Representing Namibia at the C-10 meeting will be Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Jenelly Matundo.
