President William Ruto has introduced a comprehensive initiative designed to address the economic growth challenges related to urban land use and transportation planning in Nairobi’s metropolitan area.
Dubbed the Kenya Urban Mobility and Growth Threshold Programme, this ambitious plan aims to improve the lives of over 4.3 million residents. “This programme is about delivering results and unlocking greater opportunities for Kenyans,” President Ruto stated.
The launch event, held on Thursday in Washington, D.C., featured the presence of Millennium Challenge Corporation CEO Alice Albright. President Ruto highlighted the significance of this development, noting, “This is an exciting milestone in the growing partnership between Kenya and the United States.”
