Lesotho, EU Partner for Rural Water, Sanitation

Maseru, Lesotho – May 23, 2024 – The Government of Lesotho and the European Union (EU) gathered in Maseru on Wednesday to witness the signing of a financing agreement for the “Metsi a Lesotho” program in a move to improve access to clean water and sanitation in Lesotho’s rural areas.

The agreement was signed by Lesotho’s Minister of Finance and Development Planning, Dr. Rets’elisitsoe Matlanyane, and Her Excellency Ambassador Paola Amadei, representing the EU Delegation to the Kingdom of Lesotho.

The signing ceremony was a momentous occasion, attended by Lesotho’s Prime Minister, The Rt. Honourable ntate Samuel Ntsokoane Matekane, members of his cabinet, the diplomatic community, and senior government officials.
