Accra, Ghana – The 3rd edition of the Made-in-Ghana Bazaar is set to take place from May 23rd to 25th at the Accra International Conference Centre. This exciting event, launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, brings together hundreds of Ghanaian exhibitors from various sectors to showcase their products and forge connections with international markets.
“The Bazaar provides a crucial platform to connect Ghana’s vibrant industries with established markets abroad,” declared Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration. Leveraging Ghana’s network of diplomatic missions, the event aims to not only promote Ghanaian goods but also encourage Ghanaians to embrace locally-made products.
The Bazaar presents a valuable opportunity to strengthen the entire production chain for Ghanaian products. “We’ll be looking to improve production processes, packaging, and distribution,” Minister Botchwey highlighted.
The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) fully supports the initiative. “This Bazaar perfectly embodies our mission to promote domestic production, expand market access, and drive economic growth through the power of Ghanaian-made goods,” stated Mr. Edward Ashong Lartey, GIPC’s Director of Investor Services. He reassured exhibitors of the Centre’s unwavering commitment to empowering local businesses and propelling them into both domestic and international markets.
The launch ceremony featured prominent figures including Amb. Ramses J. Cleland (Chief Director, Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Dr. John-Hawkins Asiedu (Technical Advisor, Ministry of Trade and Industry), Mr. Emmanuel Quao (Director of International Cooperation, Ghana Export Promotion Authority), Mr. Lawrence Osie Boateng (Director, BDR, Corporate Affairs & Marketing, Ghana Free Zones Authority), Mr. Adu Amoako Fred (Chief Operating Officer, Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industries), and Mr. Dela Gadzanku (Volta Regional Chairman, Association of Ghana Industries).
