A delegation from Zambia’s Parliamentary Reforms and Modernisation Committee recently visited the UK House of Commons to explore potential reforms for their own National Assembly. Led by Committee Chairperson Hon. Frank Moses Moyo, MP, and Second Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, the ten-member delegation and five parliamentary staff met with CPA Secretary-General Stephen Twigg.
The visit focused on researching proposed reforms for Zambia’s National Assembly, including the introduction of virtual sittings and proxy voting. The delegation aimed to understand the potential impact of these changes on Members of Parliament in the Zambian context.
