Tsavo National Park, Kenya – Travelers seeking an unparalleled African adventure can look forward to a new addition to Virgin Limited Edition’s prestigious portfolio. The award-winning Finch Hattons Luxury Safari Camp will officially join the collection on July 1, 2024, marking Virgin’s ninth property worldwide and fifth within Africa.

Nestled amidst 35 acres of pristine wilderness within Tsavo National Park, Finch Hattons offers guests an unforgettable experience. The camp features 17 luxurious tented suites, each thoughtfully designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding natural beauty. Beyond the comfort of their accommodations, guests can explore the park’s treasures, which include the dramatic Shetani lava flow and breathtaking vistas of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Finch Hattons brings a wealth of expertise to the Virgin Limited Edition family. The Kenyan-based Gehlot family, with three decades of safari experience, has owned and operated the camp for years. Interestingly, the Gehlot family is also co-owners of Mahali Mzuri, Virgin Limited Edition’s other Kenyan property, solidifying a strong foundation for this new partnership.

Sir Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Group, expressed his enthusiasm about the addition. “Africa holds a special place in my heart,” Branson said. “Each Virgin Limited Edition property offers something unique, steeped in rich heritage and culture. I’m thrilled to welcome Finch Hattons, along with the incredible wildlife of Tsavo National Park, to the Virgin family. I can’t wait to visit myself!”

Leena Gehlot, Managing Partner of Finch Hattons, echoed Branson’s excitement. “Finch Hattons is a cherished part of our family legacy and our KG Group of businesses,” Gehlot said. “Our family’s roots run deep in Kenya for over five generations, and we’re incredibly proud of this special safari camp. Partnering with a global brand like Virgin Limited Edition is a momentous step forward. We are eager to showcase Finch Hattons to the world alongside Virgin’s established reputation for exceptional experiences.”
