Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, met with Moroccan Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E Moha Ou Ali Tagma, in Abuja today to discuss potential collaboration between the Kingdom of Morocco and Gombe State.
The meeting focused on areas of mutual interest, particularly agriculture and education. Governor Yahaya presented a comprehensive overview of Gombe’s potential, highlighting sectors like agriculture, renewable energy, and security. He emphasized the state’s ranking as Nigeria’s number one state for ease of doing business in 2021 and 2022, the establishment of a significant industrial park, and ongoing agricultural and infrastructural advancements.
Governor Yahaya also drew attention to Gombe’s abundant water resources, ideal for irrigation and renewable energy projects, presenting lucrative opportunities for Moroccan investors in agribusiness.
Ambassador Tagma expressed keen interest in the potential partnership, recognizing the synergy between Morocco’s expertise in agriculture and energy technologies and Gombe’s natural resources. He commended Governor Yahaya’s achievements and pledged to connect Moroccan entrepreneurs with Gombe stakeholders to explore investment opportunities.
