LUANDA, Angola – The U.S. Embassy in Luanda commemorated National Nurses Day, highlighting its ongoing collaboration with Angola’s Ministry of Health.
National Nurses Week, celebrated from May 6th to 12th, recognizes the vital role nurses play in healthcare systems worldwide. In Angola, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) partners with the Ministry of Health to strengthen the country’s healthcare system.
This partnership focuses on improving the skills and knowledge of Angolan healthcare professionals at all levels. By empowering nurses through training, resources, and a safe work environment, the program aims to prepare them to better respond to health emergencies, outbreaks, and natural disasters with minimal disruptions to healthcare delivery.
