Malabo, Equatorial Guinea – Minister Naledi Pandor of South Africa embarked on a significant two-day Working Visit to Malabo, the capital of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea. Today, 05 May 2024, marked the initiation of her visit, which commenced with bilateral discussions between Minister Pandor and her counterpart, H.E. Mr Simeon Oyono Esono Angue, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Diaspora of Equatorial Guinea.
The agenda of the talks was primarily centered around bolstering the existing bilateral relations between South Africa and Equatorial Guinea. Additionally, both ministers delved into pertinent regional, continental, and global matters of mutual interest.

Culminating the fruitful discussions, Minister Pandor and Minister Angue formalized their commitment to enhanced cooperation by signing the Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of the Joint Commission for Cooperation (JCC) between the Republic of South Africa and the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.
