Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, recently took to Twitter to announce exciting new features that are coming to the social media platform. According to his tweet, the latest version of the app will allow users to reply to any message in the thread, not just the most recent one, and use any emoji reaction.

But that’s not all. In his tweet, Musk also announced that the release of encrypted direct messages (DMs) version 1.0 is set to happen the next day. He went on to explain that this feature will continue to evolve and become more sophisticated over time. In fact, Musk even said that the encryption is so secure that he wouldn’t be able to see your DMs even if someone held a gun to his head.

But perhaps the most exciting feature that Musk announced is the upcoming addition of voice and video chat. According to his tweet, users will be able to communicate with anyone on the platform from their handle, without having to give out their phone number. This means that people can connect with others from all around the world, without having to worry about long-distance charges or giving out their personal information.

The announcement has already generated a lot of excitement on Twitter, with many users expressing their anticipation for the new features. Musk’s tweet has garnered over 3,070 retweets and more than 17.4K likes at the time of writing.

The release of these new features is sure to be a game-changer for Twitter, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for this social media giant.

With latest version of app, you can DM reply to any message in the thread (not just most recent) and use any emoji reaction.

Release of encrypted DMs V1.0 should happen tomorrow. This will grow in sophistication rapidly. The acid test is that I could not see your DMs even if…
