Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, Davido, has partnered with Abu Salami Media and 1XBet to launch an exciting football talent hunt program called the ‘Davido Dream Football Show’ (DDFS). The program aims to promote youth football, particularly at the grassroots level, by providing a structured curriculum to develop fundamental technical skills and tactical awareness in young players who aspire to compete at the highest levels of the sport.

Abu Salami, the CEO of Abu Salami Media and Chairman of DDFS, explained that the program is focused on empowering and supporting young male football talents between the ages of 18 and 22 in Nigeria and across Africa. The initiative was officially unveiled at a media presentation held at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, on Tuesday.

Salami further revealed that the Davido Dream Football Show will be a reality TV show that will run for 30 weeks, with one episode to be aired every week. The program will begin with a screening process for registered participants, followed by a series of trials to select the best talents. The chosen talents will then undergo camping for the final show, where they will receive further training and compete for the ultimate prize.

Davido, who is also the President of DDFS, expressed his excitement about the impact the program can have on young footballers in Nigeria and Africa. He stated, “We all know impact is essential and a show like this will not only engage the minds of the youths, it will birth meaningful changes and opportunities for youths across Nigeria and Africa as a whole. I believe it’ll also set the pace for impact-driven initiatives in grassroots football in Africa.”

The selection process for the Davido Dream Football Show will be based on skill, attitude, and commitment, with scheduled screenings to be held across Nigeria. The program also includes plans for selected talents to undergo training and trials with partner clubs in Europe, providing them with exposure to international football opportunities.

The Davido Dream Football Show is set to be a groundbreaking initiative in the Nigerian and African football landscape, offering young talents the chance to showcase their skills and pursue their dreams of becoming professional footballers. With Davido’s star power and the support of Abu Salami Media and 1XBet, the program is poised to make a meaningful impact on the development of youth football in the region.
