On Monday, the Lagos High Court dismissed the “no-case” submission filed by Drambi Vandi, who is accused of shooting Lagos lawyer Omobolanle Raheem to death on December 25, 2022.
Vandi had sought to have the charge against him dismissed, arguing that the prosecution witnesses’ evidence was inconsistent and did not link him to the murder.
However, Justice Ibironke Harrison held that the prosecution had established sufficient oral and documentary evidence linking Vandi to the crime and ruled that he had a case to answer.
The case was adjourned until May 16 for the defendant to present his defense.
