Femi Fani-Kayode, who is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), responded to Ben Llewellyn-Jones, British deputy high commissioner to Nigeria, who criticized some of Fani-Kayode’s comments during the general election as “inciteful”.
Llewellyn-Jones had also mentioned that 10 people had been added to the growing watchlist of the UK visa ban.
However, Fani-Kayode refused to be intimidated and said he would not take lessons from the UK envoy on “what to say or how to speak.” Fani-Kayode added that he was “not one of those Nigerians that bows, shakes, shivers, and trembles before the British or indeed any other foreigner.”
He also advised Llewellyn-Jones to remain a silent observer when it comes to the politics of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as Nigeria is not a poodle of the British and has come of age.
