Festus Keyamo, the spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council, has accused the Labour Party (LP) of inciting Nigerians against the judiciary.
Keyamo claimed in an interview with Channels Television on Thursday that LP leaders’ comments were “setting up a scene for rebellion” against the judiciary.
Datti Baba-Ahmed, the LP vice-presidential candidate, had previously alleged that President-elect Bola Tinubu did not meet the constitutional requirements to win the February 25 election.
Keyamo filed a petition to the Department of State Services (DSS) on Thursday against Peter Obi, the LP’s presidential candidate, and Datti Baba-Ahmed, over inciting comments that could disrupt law and order in the country.
Keyamo accused the LP of attempting to “blackmail” the judiciary with their interpretation of the constitution.
He argued that going to court was a lawful means of addressing grievances, and accused the LP of riling up people against the judiciary.
