In response to a viral social media message alleging that Anambra Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, had been contracted to eliminate former governor and presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, Mr. Chris Aburime, the Press Secretary to the Governor, denied the allegations.
Speaking in Awka on Monday, Aburime stated that Soludo would not plot or collude to harm any lawful citizen of the state, including Obi, as he is the father of Anambra by his position.
The viral message claimed that Soludo’s hatred for Obi was becoming obvious, and that he had been given five million dollars to carry out the hatchet job. However, Aburime dismissed the message as infantile, mischievous, and unnecessarily inflammatory, stating that Soludo is a brother and friend of Peter Obi and has a good heart towards everybody.
He also called on the Anambra electorate to support the candidates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the State House of Assembly for stability and progress in Anambra.
