Kwankwaso wins over 30 LGAs, sweeps Kano

In Saturday’s election in Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), emerged victorious, defeating his opponents.

Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State, won in 34 out of the 44 local government areas (LGAs) that were contested. Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) secured victory in only eight LGAs.

As of now, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced results for 42 of the 44 LGAs.
