The Yoruba Leaders of Thought group has declared its support for Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate for the 2023 election.
The group, which met with Tinubu and his running mate, Sen. Kashim Shettima, in Lagos on Monday, praised the APC and its governors for embracing power shift to promote unity and inclusiveness in Nigeria.
The convener of the group, Tajudeen Olusi, lauded Tinubu for his contributions to promoting democracy, good governance, and economic development in the country.
In a communique released after the meeting, Olusi and the group’s Secretary, Adebayo Aina, stated that Tinubu is the most competent, capable, and humane candidate for the presidency when compared to others in the race.
The group also commended President Buhari for his achievements and called on him to address the scarcity of new Naira notes and fuel in the country.
The Yoruba Leaders of Thought appealed to Nigerians to support Tinubu in the upcoming election, as they believe his presidency will bring shared prosperity and develop the nation.
Tinubu expressed gratitude for the group’s support and promised to lead Nigeria to an enviable and prosperous status among the comity of nations in the 21st century.
