With just a week to go before the presidential election, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has called on Northerners to vote for the Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, instead of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
Ohanaeze’s Secretary-General, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, emphasized the importance of Nigerians coming together for the country’s greater future by voting for Obi, who he believes can rescue the North and revitalize its dwindling fortunes.
In a statement, Isiguzoro urged the Northerners to reject ethnic and religious biases and prioritize competence, capacity, and character in the next president to end insecurity and banditry in the North.
He also warned against corruption and mess by choosing Obi over Atiku. Isiguzoro emphasized that the country needs a leader who can solve its problems and not worsen them, and therefore called on the Northerners to choose wisely and vote for Obi in the upcoming presidential election.
