President Buhari has asked Nigerians for forgiveness and patience with his administration’s shortcomings.

He promised that the next administration under APC’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Tinubu, will correct these shortcomings and continue where he left off.

Buhari made these comments during an APC presidential campaign rally at the Dikko Stadium in Katsina.

He attributed Nigeria’s economic downturn to COVID-19 and other challenges, but emphasized that his administration still made some modest achievements.

Buhari urged the crowd to vote for Tinubu and APC candidates, including Dikko Radda for governor of Katsina state.

Tinubu spoke about the APC’s determination to fight against terrorism and support those affected by it. Governor Masari characterized the presidential race as a battle between light (represented by Tinubu and APC) and darkness.

He also mentioned that Tinubu donated N100m to the families of the 41 Katsina residents killed by terrorists.

Today in Katsina, we presented our Presidential candidate, @officialABAT to the people. Chosen and fully supported by our party, @OfficialAPCNg, and by the grace of God the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We will work hard to achieve this! pic.twitter.com/x9otmIJZAG
